The Scheduled Reporting function allows the user to tailor the reporting functions to suit the requirements of the operation.
porttracker automates the execution of Views and coupled with the new relative date filters, scheduled reports allow the network administrator to be able to keep track or 'what is connected where' even when access to porttracker is not possible or if they just need to know when something is not as it should be.
Busy scheduled mean that often looking through reports is not possible, you just need to know when something needs attention. porttracker reports can be generated in a number of ways to allow the users to see them in the most appropriate format and can be configured to generate emails only when certain conditions have been met or something changed.
Features include:
- Scheduled Reports allow for an existing view to be 'run' at a specified regular time without manual intervention
- Formats include HTML & CSV
- Optionally configurable to only show changes since that last runtime
- Users can opt whether emails are sent when no data is produced - 'need to know' vs assured execution
- Utilizes new relative Date Filters to express time constraints
- Uses SMTP mail transport for delivery
- 'Run now' allows the user to preview the report and test the transport
- New Scheduled fields "1st Day of Month" and "Last Day of Month"
- Optionally include Audit History data
- New menu item Schedule>Reports
